Dance Del Bello is a non-profit dance company which brings a professional level of performance in Ballet and Modern Dance to the Delaware Valley from its Montgmery County home at the Pennsylvania Dance Institute. The Company is composed of a spirited troupe of dancers under the artistic direction of Delphine Del Bello Spencer.
The quality of the dance and commitment of the dancers is a direct result of both Ms. Spencer’s expertise in the field and her unlimited devotion to excellence in the world of dance. In addition to its classical and neoclassical ballet repertoire, the Company also performs originally choreographed modern works by Ms. Spencer.
Dance Del Bello has been a part of the performing arts community since 1982 and presently has two performing seasons annually. Now in its twenty-eighth year, Dance Del Bello continues to take pride in presenting accessible, affordable, and consistently high quality performances to its audiences, and actively promotes dance awareness and appreciation, as well as talent development, in the Delaware Valley regions of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
Dance Del Bello’s mission is to:
Provide high quality professional ballet and modern dance performances to Delaware Valley audiences;
Promote educational programs through local schools and community organizations which encourage interest and participation in the performing arts, specifically ballet and modern dance;
Create opportunities for dancers and choreographers to pursue educational and professional goals related to the performing arts;
Develop meaningful professional relationships among dancers and choreographers, with particular focus on mentoring young artists and those with emerging talent.
Work daily to display and inspire a genuine love and appreciation for the performing arts.
