Performing Opportunities

Once or twice a year, our students have the opportunity to display their artistic, and technical talents in a professional production in front of an audience offered to the general public.   Our students are directly integrated and immersed into the storyline of our productions and have the opportunity to rehearse, and perform directly alongside professional dancers.

Since 1991, Dance Del Bello has partnered with Pennsylvania Dance Institute to present the ballet A Christmas Carol by acclaimed choreographer, David Kloss. Each December, dedicated Pennsylvania Dance Institute students’ who have reached the necessary technical and artistic maturity are invited to perform in this captivating interpretation of the Dickens’ classic.

In the spring, all students enrolled in the ballet program have the opportunity to perform in a full-length or excerpted work from Dance Del Bello’s repertoire. Past performances have included Beauty and the Beast, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Coppelia, The Sleeping Beauty, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The Pennsylvania Dance Institute offers performing opportunities from 4 to Pre-Professional.

Rehearsals |  Rehearsals for our productions take place separately apart from valuable class time.

Readiness | The Artistic Directors and PA Dance Institute Instructors have 30+ experience integrating, placing & casting children, teenagers and young adults within a professional rehearsal and performance environment. In order to nurture the pressure and commitment of this artistic experience, we take great care and deliberation in deciding when your child is:
1). Ready to make their debut on stage,
2). Ready to perform on Pointe, and
3). Ready for soloist casting

At the recommendation of artistic staff, technically proficient students who are committed to class work and rehearsals may have the opportunity to join the company as an Apprentice or Jr. Apprentice.

Dance Del Bello is a non-profit dance company that brings a professional level of performance in ballet and modern dance to the Delaware Valley from its Montgomery & Bucks County home at the Pennsylvania Dance Institute. The company is composed of a spirited troupe of dancers under the artistic direction of Delphine Del Bello Spencer.
